Ranged along the coast of
the Istrian peninsula, Croatia

made famous when this area
was part of Yugoslavia. In

peninsula was ruled from
Venice for more than 400

Umag
A small town and harbour on
the west coast of Croatia,
Umag is bestknown for its
plentiful wine cellars. It also
has an exquisite and unusual
location on a miniature
peninsula adjoining a huge
semi-circular bay.
Buje
The town and its
surroundings are particularly

selection of gastronomic
specialities as well as
numerous wineries, which are
connected by the so-called

roads.’
Venice
‘La
Serenissima’ is
connected to the Istrian
coast by ferries from most
major ports including Porec.

Plitvice Lakes
National Park
This beautiful pocket of
wooded hills, a World
Heritage site, encloses 16
turquoise lakes connected by
many waterfalls and
cascades, with bridges over
the waters at many points
along the 18km trail.

Basilica -
Porec
The basilica, atrium,
baptistery and episcopal
palace are outstanding
examples of religious
architecture, whilst the
basilica itself combines
classical and Byzantine
elements.
Cave
Baredine
The cave is a treasure chest
of stalagmites, stalactites
and natural sculptures created
by water underground. A
guided tour takes you through
the highlights of the cave
system in around 45
minutes. The caves open
during July and August.
